Excerpt below from web:
“The Torre Latinoamericana is a skyscraper located on the corner of Francisco I. Madero and Eje Central streets in the Historic Center of Mexico City. Its central location, its height (181.33 meters, including the antenna, with 44 floors or 595 feet) and its history have made it one of the most emblematic buildings in Mexico City. It was the tallest building in Mexico City from its construction in 1956 until 1972, and held the record for the tallest skyscraper in the world outside the United States and therefore in Latin America. It was also inaugurated as the first and largest building with a glass and aluminum facade, and was also the only skyscraper in the world to be located in a seismic zone, which served as an example for the foundations and construction of future buildings in the world.” You are limited to using your phone for photos and videos on the 44th floor outdoor observation area. This is NOT common knowledge. Fantastic Views of the City and the valley of Mexico. Suggest you arrive before dusk on a warm evening.
