We are expats living in Ajijic. We have not had any incidents here. Mexican, American, and Canadians all around us are warm and friendly. The Mexican workers are congenial and honest. We see many families hiking up the mountains on the weekends. Families shopping for flowers and food from small local markets are everywhere. The criminal activities here in one year is comparable to one day of crimes in Florida. It’s unfortunate that only the bad news is reported versus the positive in Ajijic.
